Thank you for your and your teams’ efforts in arranging the accommodation, local discounts and recommended activities for our stay in Vanuatu. You went above and beyond to find the perfect holiday home for our five night stay and somehow you kept it within our price range. Gudfala Place was simply amazing, this sprawling home is luxurious, incredibly well equipped, superbly furnished and well maintained. Often website photos and descriptions disappoint in real life, however, in our opinion Gudfela Place is actually better than it looks online…we were truly blown away.
To have Brian meet us at the airport and guide us out to the villa (via the supermarket) was also a nice touch and very much appreciated. Ken our resident security guard/gardener quickly delivered on my requests for fresh lobsters and he also prepped and stacked the fire pit. What an amazing night - eating fresh lobster on the beach with the fire blazing away, watching the cruise ship sail past…it doesn’t get any better than that!
Mysline our ever smiling housekeeper was a delight and took care of all the cleaning and even washed our clothes, what a lovely lady! Another great touch was to have so many essential kitchen items available for use, such as spices, sauces/condiments, oils, and glad wrap etc. We took advantage of the kitchen and cooked several meals…so it was a bonus to have these items on hand. Once again thank you for everything you have done and please forward our compliments and regards to your capable team and Brian, Ken, Mysline and the villa owners for making our getaway so enjoyable. I will highly recommend Vanuatu Luxury Holiday Homes to anyone wanting exceptional service and a quality range of properties options. We look forward to our next booking with you.

My family and I stayed at the beautiful ”Gudfala Ples” in January this year, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful we found this seaside paradise and the lovely staff who care for the home and its guests!
The house is beautifully appointed; spacious, light and airy, with the raw beauty of Vanuatu framed in every opening. It has been designed to perfectly complement and showcase its surroundings, and we absolutely loved it! Our children were delighted by the snorkelling opportunities, the rock pools and the beach, all virtually on the home’s doorstep.
The adults were able to soak in the surrounding beauty and relax completely while being beautifully looked after by the fantastic staff. While at the house, you feel totally secluded, as if on your own private island, and yet the property is close enough to shops and restaurants as to be convenient should you need anything. All in all it was an idyllic island holiday and our thanks to all who made our stay so incredibly perfect.

My wife and 25 yo daughter spent 5 days at Villa Gudfela Ples (VGP). The house is set in the middle of a group of luxury villas so you are in very good company. The house is extensive and can support a large group. The main bedrooms are huge, understated, simply but elegantly furnished. You will be positioned a short few hundred metres beach walk away from unarguably the best restaurant in Vanuatu (V), Tamanu. Travel into town or going the other way up to the Blue Lagoon and Eton Beach is around 15-20 minutes.
The house and neighbours have their own coral pools hewn out from the large coral shelves in front of the houses. The VGP pool is ideal for laps or family fun, easily viewable from the villas own beach. My daughter said she'd like to get married here and I have to agree with her, it would be ideal. If you have an extra large group then book the surrounding villas at the same time.
Now the extra here is that the managers own and live in one of the neighbouring properties so if there is ever an issue you need only walk 100 metres to get help. They are a wonderful couple, very knowledgable on V and know everyone there is to know in V. Just up the road, circa 500m is another restaurant called Ripples where the food was very good. I recommend the Low Flying Duck if you like a good curry.

We decided on GudFela Ples for our wedding venue (after cyclone Pam closed Tamanu on the beach) and I'm so HAPPY that we did. What a magnificent spot!! The house has two large double rooms with ensuite containing a sunken concrete bath, open layout shower and large bali style wardrobes. In the main house there is another bathroom and plenty room for children on the giant lounge suites and for extras the upstairs has two single beds and a fold out couch. We had 6 adults and 2 children fit comfortably.
Fantastic value for money!! The house careers are also a wonderful addition to the property. The only thing I will suggest is the need for your own transport. 25mins back to port vila via 10mins on dirt road. I will upload plenty of photos to share with you our magical time here.
