Number 6

A safe Destination. Forget the uncertainty of travelling to the Middle East, Bali and Europe all featuring heavily on TV news for all the wrong reasons as far as a holiday destination is concerned. The South Pacific is a sleeping giant and that's how we like it. Vanuatu is one of the most accessiible small Island nations in the huge Pacific Basin and the locals are just so friendly and always ready with a smile and some good advise on where to drink good Kava or what village to visit. Many guests make life long ni-Vanuatu friends from their one vsist and that ends up being the reason they keep coming back

Other classic events include the Annual round Iririki Swim, The Santo Ocean Swim, The Round Island Relay or the annual rowing Regatta Annual special events are always a great reason to come to Vanuatu.

There are things to do in Vanuatu that you cannot do anywhere else in the South Pacific Unique activities including visiting a live volcano on the Island of Tanna or traditional land diving on the Island of Pentecost. The latter expereince is usually only availble for around 3 months of the year approx. May to July. You should check with the local Tour Operators that service both attractions for packages and availability

Another realtively new unique attraction is the Summit Zipline experience. An exhilorating experience operated through Jungle high on the Summit overlooking Mele Bay and Hideaway Island

Number 9

The Vanuatu Culture is unique and the locals are always keen to share this with visitors to Vanuatu. For many visitors it is a real eye opener to see how families live in the village environment and still prepare food and pass on the culture of past generations to their children and grand children. Visiting Children will be engaged with the local kids and this sort of interaction will be something Australian and NZ kids will cherish forever

Number 10

Vanuatu has been twice voted The Happiest Place on Earth. Having lived and worked here for the past 15 odd years I can appreciate this. The thing that always impresses me is just how caring the locals are when it come to visitors to Vanuatu. We sometimes overlook the things in life that are so accessible and yet so often overlooked in western civilsations. The pace of living needs a rain check every year or so to restore your energy and to learn from a culture that values family time and just chilling out under a palm tree
