Christmas in Vanuatu
If you are lucky enough to be spending the festive season in Vanuatu then you will need to know the best things you can do whilst you are here.
I have added some ideas and images below and have also linked some Christmas menus supplied by some of our great range of restaurants. Wherever you decide to dine make sure you book early and check if your favorite option is open for lunch and dinner on Christmas day or whether they are open at all as some restaurants will close on Christmas day.

Tamanu on the Beach is open for lunch and Dinner. A great spot on the South Coast with fabulous beach and views

Iririki Island Resort is open for lunch just a short Ferry ride across the harbour will see you on the beautiful Iririki island with unsurpassed views and sunsets

Cafe Vila is open for lunch . Located on the Pango Road just out of town the atmosphere is relaxed and staff are friendly

The Grand Hotel is open for lunch The Hotel is located in the centre of town on the water with air conditioned dining at Crystals

Vila Chaumieres is open for dinner only on Christmas day. Located on the number two lagoon the restaurant is an iconic long standing favourite of visitors and local alike
You will no doubt need to work off the Christmas kilos and we have selected some activities below that will help you return your body shape to its trim taut terrific status

Big Blue offers diving for both beginners and the most experienced. They also offer great snorkeling options as well. You can find Mike and the team on the seawall near Nambawan Cafe

Zipline Canopy Tour is a thrill a minute activity based high in the Efate ranges overlooking Mele Bay

Off Road Adventures will get you down and dirty especially if its a bit wet..

Nautilus Fishing, Whether you are a hard core marlin fisherman or you would just like to do a bit of reef fishing with your family that’s interested in Vanuatu fishing trips we can help you. Port Vila fishing tour are our specialty.

Port Vila Parasailing Catch the breeze and enjoy the view from above, gliding over the crystal clear blue waters of Port Villa Harbour. Our soft, safe and easy retrieval allows you to take off and land directly from the boat flight deck!

Markets

Whilst in the Seawall area check out the fresh food markets open daily from Monday to midday Saturday. Its a great time of the year with local mangoes, pineapples and much more on offer

The New Handicraft Market House in Port Vila only sells locally made handicrafts so we highly recommend that you support the locals in their endeavours to earn a good living from manufacturing and producing locally made products
Well plenty to do and see and for those not lucky enough to be coming this Christmas then start planning for Christmas 2018. Its a great place for family gatherings, weddings and special birthday
